Dameca A/S was founded in 1947 by the Schramm family. The philosophy was to manufacture Danish-produced anaesthesia machines. In 1948, the first anaesthesia machine (Kino-orgel) was introduced to the market. In 1965, the headquarters moved to Islevdalvej 211, Roedovre, where it is located today. Over the years Dameca has grown with evolving technologies and the product portfolio has continuously expanded. Since start-up, Dameca’s own development and manufacturing has delivered more than 35,000 anaesthesia machines worldwide.
Product development and customer focus has always been one of the cornerstones of Dameca’s success, and has resulted in many unique solutions for hospitals and clinics.
In July 2017, Dameca A/S was acquired by Löwenstein Medical and is now a company in the Löwenstein Group. The acquisition has expanded the product portfolio and today Dameca sell and market a selected range of Löwenstein Medical’s products to the Nordic market.
